Profile Prof Yong LIU, BA, PhD Professor in the School of Literature Biography Liu Yong is Professor of Literature and Doctoral Supervisor in Beijing Normal University, the ‘Yangtze River Scholar’ of the Ministry of Education, and chief expert in History of Chinese Literature in the 20th Century for the Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project. He is Vice President of the Chinese Modern Literature Research Association, Vice Editor of Modern Chinese Literature Researches Series, and Director of the Lu Xun, Guo Moruo, Lao She Research Institute. He pioneers the study of Chinese modern and contemporary literature and culture and has conducted research and teaching in this field for many years.
