Zhang Dejian, Professor in traditional Chinese literature, received his doctoral degree from the Department of Classical Chinese Literature at Beijing Normal University. He is now the Head of Department of Traditional Chinese Literature. His research interest is mainly Ming and Qing dynasty prose, history of thought, and Ming-Qing literary theories.
